This workshop is intended for healthcare services staff.

Information technology is developing very fast these days. Development of IT provides fantastic possibilities in medicine. We have wonderful imaging devices, surgery robots, a lot of laboratory devices, etc. All these devices can communicate with other computers. This is a wonderful feature. But one has to bear in mind that if a device is connected to the network it can be hacked.

Maybe you hear a hospital was terribly attacked by hackers in the past. Or maybe you follow today world’s situation where the threat of cyber-war is rising.

Nothing in the world can be 100%. But when one applies some good practices while working with IT it can improve the cyber-safety considerably. This is the reason why we decided to manage a workshop describing some of these good practices. Mainly we will introduce some techniques based on virtualization and on some kinds of network transparency management that can help prevent virus or hackers attacks.

It is easy to open a suspiciously looking email or browse a potentilaly risky web site without any considerable risk for the computer or for the IT infrastructure when one does it in a virtualized environment.

Our topics encompass:

- How to read potentially risky email without catching a virus?

- How to browse some risky page (or even a XXX page) without catching a virus?

- How can I find out that my computer is used by hacker for mining cryptocurrency?

- How to defend against Ransomware?

- How to prevent patient data leakage?

Our offer comes in two variants - a workshop for average users shows "how to do things safely" without diving to deep technical details. This is easy and helpful for every skilled people.

And the second variant is intended for IT professionals - we will show and discuss how to implement things and what the infrastructure could be for preventing chained attacks.
